CCHC assists Newport County municpalities with their Community Development Block Grant program applications, a major funding opportunity through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Each year, HUD releases a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for municipalities and other governmental entities to apply for community development funding. These funds can be used for a broad array of activities, such as community programs, property acquisition for community development projects and other eligible activities.
